The Kosova Tango Country Travel
September 8-12, 2025
Kosova Tango is dedicated to bring Tango to Kosovo - and Kosovo to the Tango people.
Join us and learn to know this amazing, yet still unknown country in the heart of Europe in a unique week of travelling and exploring with friends.
Five days following the marathon we have put together an exiting program to experience nature, culture and kitchen of Kosovo.
The travel tour is an optional offer restricted to full pass participants of the marathon.
Starting with a visit to the typical little local winery of Gjakova after a day of relaxing from our happy marathon experience, we will go on several day trips, each starting and ending in Gjakova. Participants are recommended to stay at special price at Hotel 12, which is prepared to host marathon members and especially the group of Tango travelers.

NATURE
Mountainside and Rugova Gorge -
Two days of hiking to the most breathtaking nature sights of Kosovo
- including a full day climbing the highest mountain of Kosovo and its heartshaped lake at the peak, and a zipline ride right over the canyon!URBAN LIFE
Prishtina is the lively cultural and social center of Kosovo. Dive into the unique mesmerizing flair of the capital of this “newborn” country.
CULTURE
Exploring the ancient sights of Prizren an Peja leads back to the majestic medieval epochs of Kosovo and it’s history of religious diversity. Until today you find the most impressive christian cathedrals, the holiest orthodox monasterys, right next to the oldest minarettes in europe and stunning remains of osman architecture and engineering.
CULINARY ARTS
Wine, Barbecues and Pickles - not to forget the world famous fli or the abundant trilece cake - a stay in Kosovo will never let you stay hungry. Visiting and enjoying gems of local vineries, qebaptores (balkan grills), cafés and restaurants will complete the deeper understanding of this country, full of pleasures.
And … don’t worry! There will be plenty of occasions to dance Tango the whole week, so you don’t have to worry about gaining too much weight … ;-)

RELAX BY THE SEA
Following the last trip of the travel tours on Friday, Sept 12, some of us, will go on to Albania to finally spend a few days of rest in a hotel at the coast - and relax!!!
Who knows, maybe you also like the idea to extend your Kosova Tango stay with a few days on the beach with friends?
Only please be aware that from this point on, the organizers will no longer be in charge of any coordination or activities. It will just be a happy vacation.
Costs
Costs of this optional additional trip will be around 350 to 400 €.
This includes the bus trip, driver, tourguides, entrances, fees etc.
It does not include accomodation. But we have a special deal for you at Hotel 12!
